It would seem that in the run up to the last National election, Paul Ryan put out some ads about his book, “In Our Time,” which was largely based on his platform of smaller government, fiscal responsibility, and a strong national defense. In one of his books, he mentions a book by Darwin regarding home renovations. It seems that Ryan was referring to an old book by Henry Thoreau. In his book, “Walden,” he gives a description of how people should live in harmony with nature, rather than try to alter or improve it in any way. According to the book, harmony comes from being content with what we have rather than trying to change things to suit our needs. I found this to be a very interesting and relevant book to watch, listen to, and consider as part of my own home renovations darwin.
How to Do Home Renovations
Home renovations have always been something of a gamble for homeowners. There is so much information out there relative to home renovation that you can never really absorb it all and come to any wise conclusions. Often times, what we think is necessary, may be counter-productive in the end. For instance, many people often use contractors to do their basement remodeling work. While the job may be cheap or inexpensive, it is definitely on the expensive side and probably doesn’t make good economic sense to do.
On the other hand, Henry Thoreau did not live in his house like today’s homeowners. He lived in his cabin, which is how he described his life. The purpose of his writing was to let people experience living in harmony with nature. Although some of his methods are a bit archaic, they are still relevant today. Indeed, I hope that Ryan and others will consider all these ideas and policies and rethink how we live our lives.
